For visitors who would like a general tour of the farm with the opportunity to pick a farmer’s brain about what they’ve seen, we offer guided tours lead by farm manager Meredith Mizell. Guided tours are available by appointment only and last 90 minutes. These tours may be scheduled at any time of year, but must be arranged at least 48 hours in advance. $15 for adults, $7 for children ages 8-16, free for children under 8.
We offer a general farm tour for public, private, and home school groups of all ages. School tours last 60-90 minutes depending on age level. $5 for children and for adult chaperones.
Please note that our farm focus is on plants, so our school tours emphasize gardening and nature in general. If you’re looking for school tours with an animal focus, we encourage you to get in touch with our friends at Bethel Trails Farm.
For those who want to learn more, we offer lecture-style and hands-on classes on a variety of topics from home herbalism to seed starting throughout the year. We also partner with local businesses and organizations to offer classes in the community. Visit our Classes page–or check out our Facebook page–for more information.
Seeing, smelling, and tasting individual herbs is one of the best ways to get to know them, so we offer free herb walks three times a year–in the spring, summer, and fall–so you can experience herbs that are typical of the season. Visit our Herb Walks page for more information.
Private Classes & Outings
Are you part of a group, organization, or company looking for a unique experience? We offer private classes and outings for groups of 6-25 on a variety of topics, from plant identification and cultivation to natural health and herbs. Rates vary depending on group size and length of class/outing. Get in touch for more information or to schedule your event.
